There was a huge break in the DC-area sniper case. At the moment, it sounds like the two people responsible for these attacks were found at 1:00am this morning, and taken into custody at 3:30am.
The recent updates (er, "breaking news") has dominated the local channels since 5:00am this morning (when the pre-morning news starts). This block of continuing coverage is 6:30 long at the moment, and not close to being over.
The latest update: LIVE coverage of the unmarked police pickup truck (with trailer! and police escort!) driving down the highway to take the suspect's car to a secure location so it can be searched for evidence. (Why do I feel like I'm in LA?)
PS: There was no white box truck, and no white astro van. It was a burgundy 1990 Chevy Caprice all along.
