InfoWorld reports about a court case involving reverse engineering of some CAD products over a decade ago. It's a troubling case, because it involves enforcing the "reverse engineering" clause in shrink-wrap licenses. With all of the reverse engineering, reimplemetation, imitation, flattery and blatant copying that's been going on in software (both commercial and otherwise), there may be a new wave of lawsuits coming in the next few years if this decision goes the wrong way...
