FreeBSD has appointed Michael Lucas as their Donations Officer. His goal: to make sure the donations ball doesn't get dropped.
Do we need one for Perl? Or is this simply a matter of conferring a title to someone(s) who is(are) already doing this? Or is this something that we should ignore?
but the professional title is Development Officer. I've been plugging the need for such a person for the last 2 years without success since a person who knows what they're doing requires a reasonable salary.
