Last week, the National Park Service (or the National Weather Service, or the National Forest Service, or the National Japanese American Relations Bureau, or ....too damn many federal agencies in this town) predicted that the cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin will peak around April 1-5th this year.
Sounds like a good excuse to take off work and grab some japanese food. And maybe a little kriek lambic after dinner, too. :-)
