I caught a couple of links from today's lwn.

• Yadda Lambda, an online journal for the Lisp community (Sound famillar?)
• The Common Lisp Cookbook (where did that idea come from?)
• pre-registration for the 2002 Ruby Conference (sounds like yet another grassroots conference to me.)

What's next? A common language runtime for dynamic languages? :-)

I'll have to see if I can get to the Ruby conference again. The last one (i.e. the first one) was good, if small. I see it's three days this time instead of two. That's a good sign. :)

Maybe I can actually contribute a module before then. :)

It's quite surprising that the first one had about 45 people attending. Some Perl Mongers meetings get more people than that (albeit for a smaller amount of time).

The Python conferences started out this way. Now, they're flirting with 300 attendees/year.
