No, I'm not talking about a fourth compendium of articles from TPJ. The first faciles of Knuth's TaoCP Volume 4 are starting to come out. Volume 4.1 and 4.2 available this month, Volume 4.3 due out by OSCon. ;-)

Some of these "fascicles" have been available from Knuth's website for ages. This looks like a lame method of the publishers to make some money. I bet ya all the "fascicles" together will cost far more than a complete Volume 4.

I remember waiting a year for Volume 3 to come out. It's been a bit longer wait for Volume 4. Perhaps someday I should get the current revision to supplement my original editions of the first 3.
