As brian mentioned, our ISP's domain name, panix.com, was surrepticiously and maliciously transferred this weekend. The ISP wasn't hacked, but the DNS records were, so there's some speculation at the moment that it was actually a registrar that was hacked (socially or techologically). This hijack also illustrates the bugs in the domain dispute resolution process -- by default, pay lawyers lots of money and work slowly until the situation is resolved, with no provision for immediate rollback in the event of a recent and disputed transfer while the case is being resolved.
Mail was diverted for 1-2 days, but it should be back to normal now.
It's odd that you notice something is off because the amount of spam that eludes spamassassin drops to zero, and you notice the resolution when the eluded spamcount rises again to about a dozen/day.
