The BOFH on the register has a precious little conversation on the uses of Vaxclusers (with 11/780's and everything!) and diesel oil together to calculate mumble digits of PI.
The Vaxen are for hysterical value, the diesel oil for safety. Yes, they do belong together in the same data center. :-)
(A true hacker would probably write a snippet of FORTH to run on an TiBook's open firmware; probably run significantly quicker and fill up a disk at a pretty steady clip.)
