The local NBC affililate was reporting this morning that the Cherry Blossoms are starting to bloom around the tidal pool near the Jefferson Memorial.
They're not supposed to be here until April...let's hope they survive the winter.

We have these stinkbug things that are coming out right now and will die before the winter, so they won't be around come spring in as great numbers.
However, this could also mean that other pests stick around in greater numbers. They supposedly eat ladybugs, and ladybugs can be really disgusting around here. One day a few years ago we had, literally, millions of ladybugs swarming our house. But even that is probably preferable to the smell these stinkbugs make.
