Reuters reports about a crew of eight Turks who were forced to man a vessel in port for four months. The problem? The vessel was impounded in June, and the crew was not allowed to come ashore because of legal snafus.
All was not lost however:
With help from a seamen's welfare group, they studied English, learned to dance the salsa and even sampled some American treats like Philadelphia cheese steaks and doughnuts.
