Earlier this month, I wanted to listen to something fresh and new. I like the music in my iTunes library, but I've heard it all. When I tire of iTunes, I listen to XM Channel 45 - XM Cafe or XM Channel 44 - Fred if I want to hear something slightly edgier.
But I listen to those channels a lot, and I wanted to hear something fresh. So I bounced around the dial until I landed on XM Channel 101 - The Joint, an all-reggae channel. Pretty soon I heard Frankie Paul singing something very familiar - Us and Them from Dark Side of the Moon.
Turns out its from an all-reggae cover of Dark Side of the Moon, Dub Side of the Moon. I picked up a copy at Django, right by Powell's after OSCon. I listened to the original version more times than I can count, but this remix is really fun to listen to. More fun than the Bluegrass version of The Wall. :-)
