So the new Matrix movie is out this weekend. Good time to go to the movies and see A Mighty Wind. :-) It's the only movie in recent memory where I didn't leave the theater wanting my $9 back. It's so good, I'd actually pay $9 to see it in the theaters again. (How many people can say that about the Matrix?)
It was difficult at times not to see the Folksmen as Derek, Nigel and David St. Hubbins of Spinal Tap living in an alternate universe. Fred Willard was a lot funnier when he was a shaggy haired officer in the Air Force. And, in a nice Jewish area like Bethesda, MD, it was difficult to appreciate the full Ed Begley Jr.'s performance, because the laughter drowned out most of his lines as a Yiddish speaking Swede.
