If you're in the states and keep a close eye on the coins in your pocket, you might soon be seeing the Kentucky State Quarter.
This is the fifth and final quarter that will be released in 2001, and the second state of the Union that was not a member of the original 13 colonies. Kentucky's design has an image of a country home, and a horse in a pasture. The motto on the quarter is "My Old Kentucky Home."
Now, this could be an incentive to learn a little American History, specifically the order in which states were added ot the Union. But I'd rather keep an eye out for new state quarter designs than simply keep track of the schedule.
