But we're seriously considering taking advantage of the fact that my Copious Free Time bit is set and Gill's taken early retirement and flying to Boca for YAPC, hiring a car (buying a wreck, whatever) and Driving to Portland (via, at the very least) some small town in Michigan where Gill's sister lives, but hopefully with a few more stops to visit any Perl mongers who might by within a reasonable distance of the route. Should be a laugh.
