jet-setting lag

I live (if you can call it that) in St. Louis. YAPC::NA 2002 was in St. Louis. St. Louis is in the same time zone as St. Louis.

I did *not* expect to get jet lag from YAPC this year! Nevertheless, I'm lagging. I'm normally an early-riser. I'm up before 5am, working by 6am, (skip lunch) and out the door to home by 2pm.

With all the fun carousing in post-YAPC evenings, I found myself making it to bed an hour before I'd normally wake, and now I'm suffering the consequences. Today I was not at my most-alert, but I wasn't doing any serious work either... just catching up on email, doing minor little maintnc things, and listening to mp3s of some of the YAPC sessions I'd missed which are now available on-line.

Tonight my lack of sleep should leave me tired enough to crash hard enough, fast enough, that I'll sleep enough to make up for enough of my previous lack-of-sleep to be alert enough to feel like a normal enough person at work on Tuesday. (Enough already with the 'enough's?)

... all I need do is fight pillow lust until bed time...
