Mailing Lists

I'm thinking it might be wise to unsubscribe from the plethora of mailing lists I'm on as I really don't have time to wade through them all. It's manageable when there's not much 'going-on' at work but at the moment it's impossible...

Too much email

I know how you feel. What's irritating is that Mon-Thu, I'm usually on a nicely paced Internet connection, but from Fri-Sun I'm at home on a 56kbps modem on an iMac and it's all a bit slow. Particularly given that I read email via ssh+mutt.

So I get even further behind on weekends =(

Thanks to Ask, I unsubscribed to most of my perl.org mailing lists, and read them via NNTP at nntp.perl.org. I am still on just a handful of lists, mostly just a few of the MacPerl ones. I still skim many of them, and read most of a few more, but I don't have to waste bandwidth or time downloading and filtering and deleting them.
