Today I began studying Perl/Tk with my Mastering Perl/Tk O'Reilly book.
The reviews about this books says that it sucks (incomplete & redundant) but hope this doesn't affect me too much in the process.

That's what he said he got. Perhaps you were thinking of "Learning Perl/Tk". I happen to like both books.
