Yup, so it's fairly obvious that I've been neglecting this. Oh well.
OSCON was actually fun this year. I met a handful of new people who turned out to be both intelligent AND fun. :o) Lots of creativity there this year, which was also cool. Gibson guitars, performance-art presentations, etc.
We drove, BTW. The 16-hour drive wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be, as Oregon has some of the most beautiful landscapes. Tragic that I couldn't find my Nikon battery charger before we left for home, as the camera died completely as we were leaving Portland.
