Finally..! Thank you, thank you, thank you, ServerLogistics. Their binaries worked. This was after all attempts to compile from source failed with various errors. Didn't help that ALL of the files had to be transferred via USB flashdisk :) This Powerbook now has a running version of PHP 4 and Apache 2.
