wxPython again...

Once every 6 months or so, I suddenly get this weird inclination to dabble with GUI toolkits. That usually involves installing wxWindows.

Although quite a few seem to be really keen on wxPerl, somehow, it doesnt seem very Perlish to me. I prefer Python for all the wxWindows manipulations.. So it is this time as well. Might be getting some actual GUI editor stuff to write later on in the year, so I can convince myself this poking around actually has a purpose (advance research).

I cant believe that I am actually going to pretend I *care* about Mac OS and its doings :) (been a bit of out of my reach, price wise, so havent been very interested). But I am waiting, hoping, wishing (praying even) for a reasonably priced mini-iPod. Cant wait for 6th January! :)

Ob-random gripe: what IS with the inflated price of most electronics in the UK ? Most electronic items (excluding cellphones, from what I can see) have a markup of anything from £50 onwards compared to the US. Sheez. Is it all VAT ? A bit steep, if so.

Try perlqt or pyqt

The qt toolkit is a really awesome gui scripting toolkit.

The perl bindings are pretty good and the python ones are excellent as well.
