This is the start of the journal for me here in the Albany, NY area. I have been looking for Albany.pm or a Saratoga.pm group but the webpage is quite a sad sight. I've talked to one other perl guy and he informed me that there is no active group here whatsoever. Perhaps the spring will be a time for rebirth?
For the time being, I will begin the struggle to remove myself from the status of slightly unemployed. Slight unemployed means I have a part time job telecommuting, but need another job for monetary reasons.
I believe I will start posting here an update of my hunt for a Perl job(s) in the Albany area. So far a couple of leads, and a couple of interesting telecommuting gigs available. Here's hoping.
