Hello all...

Since what the world needs now is, beyond a doubt, ANOTHER web journal, I'm moving swiftly to answer that demand. Perhaps the delusion that other people are reading my words might help me stick to the useful task of keeping a journal.

Perl and programming-related content here will include:

  • My experiences working on a Perl-based broadcast system for BCTV, the in-house television station for BayCon, the Bay Area Science Fiction Convention
  • I've just started CMU's new West Coast Master's program for software engineering, so I'll probably gripe aimlessly about the entire process, and hopefully share some things I learn.
  • Notes as I continue my fitful process of gathering Perl refactorings, particularly from PerlMonks.

All of that might get kind of dry, so I'll occasionally throw in bizarre, offtopic essays and tales about whatever pops into my head: skepticism, music, tea, etc. Excitement! Excitement! Excitement!
