why Kephra 0.4 gets better afterwards

sir_lichtkind on 2008-12-12T04:02:34

Kephra 0.4.0.4 has an unusual long changelog. it was mostly the final polish for 0.4 which will appear these days as 0.4 pl 3 which is really really complete and end user friendly.

This dragged me again away from fixing the issue with File::UserConfig which seemes to be broken.

The only thing really bugs me, what i really hate, how little help i get compared how much people talk.

It's not on CPAN

CPAN.pm doesn't find Kephra. i /Kephra/ lists Kephra, but it marks it as [N/A]. Indeed, it is not listed in the list at http://cpan.perl.org/modules/02packages.details.txt.gz.

I can see it in search.cpan.org, but in http://cpan.org/modules/by-module/Kephra/LICHTKIND/ the most recent version is 4.0.2.

Maybe you've been bitten by the "world writable files" restriction?

thanks for pointing me to the problem, what should i do. fact is im not stupid but under win where i release from these dir arent writeable for all, i have more a prob that i cant remove all silly hidden win user lockings. or is the solution just release from linux (which i could). thanks, (will study your links anyway and fix asap)

sorry the tgz your looking for is here, in cpan i have only dev trunk, since all patches are also there.
