I think that the Perl community (or those that can hack C++) should throw their weight behind wxGlade and wxPerl. Perl/Tk is okay but showing its age and while there is a newer way to get the good Tk stuff with Tkx, I think wx is the way to go.
Just what I think...
I won't repeat the tirades I've dumped in various other forums, but will ask if you intend to undertake the long overdue documentation project for it ? Alas, the primary keepers seem intransigent about providing docs (with little/no progess in the 2.5 years since I first attempted to use it). Which is really disheartening, esp. when you consider the nice job wxPython has done...including a nice new shiny book.

The maintainer is happy for anyone that wants to help to have commit so they can add documentation.
You included.

If I remember rightly the wxPython docs were/are not so hot either. That is why people kept clamoring for a book. The problem with the docs have always been they leaned to far to the C++ origins of wxWidgets.
I'll mention that the latest Strawberry Perl (Alpha 2) for Win32 can successfully build Alien::wxWidgets and Wx.
