The 2004 Google Code Jam will once again not be including Perl. Nor Python this year. Nor any dynamic language.
Because, ya know, what do we know about rapidly prototyping text and web munging applications?
Update: Apparently the language limitation is the fault of topcoder.com, the service Google is using to do its code jam this year. However, all blame cannot be transfered away from Google as they picked Topcoder in the first place.
