CGI::Kwiki 1, Usemod 0

The Perl QA Wiki runs Usemod Wiki and was a pain in the ass to setup and configure.

The Unix-to-VMS HOWTO Wiki uses CGI::Kwiki, took me about five minutes, I like its Wiki syntax better, and the code isn't an embarassment.

I like its syntax so much it would be great if Slash offered it as a formatting option. Are ya listening, Pudge?

As a bonus, I can physically assault the CGI::Kwiki author should the need arise.

Slash Wiki Formatting

The original reason I wrote the Slash Wiki was so I'd eventually be able to add Wiki formatting as a text formatting option. I know you appreciate the irony of getting distracted for several years only to hear someone else bring up the idea later. :)

CGI::Kwiki 2, Usemod 0

Even though I did find UseMod Wiki very easy to install and easy enough to configure, I've just converted over to CGI::Kwiki as my own personal Wiki.

While using UseMod Wiki, I kept dreaming up ideas of new features, but everytime I looked at the code, I'd lose enthusiasm.

Plus the data format of CGI::Kwiki is just a textfile, while UseMod Wiki is mostly text, but this a funny character used as a record separator.

Briefly:

CGI::Kwiki - 90% of what you want

UseMod Wiki - 97% of what you want

Twiki - 120% of what you want! (we use Twiki internally)
