Does anyone use DSLIP codes?

I don't believe I've ever actually used a DSLIP code for a module. I hope no one else does since I've never kept mine up to date! Anyone out there making decisisons based on whether the module is supposed to be "alpha," "beta" or "released"?

Thinking about it, I feel dumb for including those giant DSLIP tables in my book. I probably should have just mentioned them in passing as an anachronism of the Module List (which itself seems pretty obsolete these days).

I never quite saw the point of the Module List either, nor the point of "registering" modules.

I registered the codes on my first module, figuring it was "the right thing to do". Later I realized they didn't seem to be used for anything, and many people weren't looking at them...including myself.
