Ok, look, the Lehigh Valley, where I live, is not Podunk, Ohio. We have pharmaceutical companies, defense companies, electronics design shops. For Pete's sake, I work for one of the largest compound semiconductor growers in the world.
Why can't I find other Perl Geeks in the area?
I sent out a message to the LVLUG about forming a Perl Mongers in the area. So far, no responses. I've been trying to get my company to hire another coder roughly since I was hired, but to no avail. IRC is swell, but I need more social interaction with people about code. I know from experience that it helps my brain.
