jns told me that the magic words I was looking for are sealed and
override which are what C# uses, so
Class::Mumble
becomes Class::Sealed.

Tom and I riffed a little about Mariachi, which led to a simple yet cunning plan about how to move pagination out of the code and into the templates.

Arthur semi prodded me about the PerlTIEIO stuff I'd long since abandoned.
In remembering it I realised it's probably simple enough to get what
Arthur wants out of the deal, by adding extra calls into the perlio
api.
