Got hold of the work laptop and installedcygwin on it. With clever use of a local sshd and putty I get most of the mileage I get with sshing to a real server, with the benefit that it'll work away from the rest of the world.

Fiddled about with ccache a bit. Found that the usual ln -s /usr/bin/ccache ~/bin/gcc didn't work, so I have to remember to export CC='ccache gcc'

One small stumbling block; Although screen builds with some light patching, it's partly broken - you can't reattach to a session. Another yak in need of a trim I guess.

London.pm meeting. Chatted to people, partly about Mariachi. All blurry now.
