Insomnia strikes! 1am mini hack resulted in the Mariachi TODO beingrewritten, along with some template tweaks, with a plan to get a release out within a week.

Started to chew through Robins reply to my prodding.

Brainstormed some mariachi stuff about message organisation with Tom and Simon. Left Tom to actually write it.

Shouted at Simon for breaking encapsulation, then fixed it combining the work he and Tom had done in one nice shiny patch.

Rejigged this log to have the newest day at the top, days still maintain their own internal progress. Current mood animations in progress, until then you'll have to read the text.

Light bit of benchmarking. Even with our rapidly multiplying navigation styles mariachi is twice the speed of mhonarc for a full regen of the siesta archives. I don't know which to be more surprised by, our performance on lightly optimised alpha code, or mhonarcs apparent lack with mature code.

Of course, Hypermail kicks our ass - 0.3 wallclocks, we barely scan and prep the mails in 2!

  hypermail -m mbox -d public_html/hm-out 0.31s user 0.05s system 113% cpu 0.317

Isn't it odd how making code clearer will often make it faster too.

Waited for a server to get fixed by hacking on mariachi templates. Made the mari-a-a-a-a-a-chi pager much more googlelike and found a couple of features I want to glue in from diveintoaccessibility.
