I wouldn't call it nice. It seems the point of the article was "Boy, that was a stupid thing to spend $80 on."

I did feel uncertain about the effect of putting a PR release on PRWeb When I read the blog entry. and I think doing cool thing in Perl and blog about it would do more good.

The problem is that I rarely hear much cool things done in Perl(say mod_wsgi support for Perl) or read about it.

Probably most of the cool things are already done in Perl and People are getting most of the fun doing it in other Newer languages now.
