Quiet week-end -- which I needed, I was tired, again. I bought a few books. The first volume of Stephenson's Cryptonomicon -- in a french translation -- and Thomas Pynchon's Gravity's Rainbow -- the original english text. In the english bookshop where I bought this last one, I met an old english teacher of mine. Some more books are on my wishlist, but I guess I'll have to buy them via Amazon or something. A few obscure novels by P.K.Dick are hard to find in France, and have been badly translated. On the other hand it's easy to find a vintage translation of Rapport Minoritaire those days, repackaged with Tom Cruise on the cover.
