Whedon and gods

Found via Plastic :

The Onion: Is there a God?
Joss Whedon: No.
O: That's it, end of story, no?
JW: Absolutely not. That's a very important and necessary thing to learn.
(Assuming everyone here knows who Joss Whedon is ;-)

Also, http://www.celebatheists.com/ lists some interesting names, e.g. Seth Green.

Celebrity atheists

Interesting site. Are atheists starting to follow the path blazed by Scientologists and recruit celebrities? But I guess if it were purely a marketing campaign it might have omitted Cancer Man and the schlock jock and certainly the white supremacist.

The entries for some of the celebrities remind me of the claims that various historical people were homosexual. If the point of the exercise is to get as many names on the list as possible, then the flimsiest evidence is enough to add someone.

I didn't look enough at this site to get its point. For example it lists buddhists in its atheist section (e.g. Patrick Duffy.) That's strange : buddhism is a religion, isn't it ?

At the very least, it provides some interesting quotes. ("Not only is God dead, but just try to find a plumber on weekends.")
