Apparently Larry McVoy, (from BitMover, the company that develops BitKeeper), told Ben Collins, one of the lead developers of Subversion, that he couldn't use BK anymore -- Ben Collins wanted "to use bitkeeper to create a Subversion mirror of the kernel repository". This discussion happened on the linux-kernel mailing list. On the other hand, Ben Collins doesn't need BK to create a Subversion mirror, because individual patches are also available from FTP. From having browsed the thread, I think that Ingo Molnar intelligently summarized the potential problem.
