I just finished to read Terry Pratchett's Colour of Magic, and yes, I enjoyed it. I can hardly wait for the next one. Thanks to Elaine who recommended it to me. Pratchett seems to be one of the numerous followers of the Tristram Shandy tradition, where the humour comes out of the characters and their hobby-horses.

This reading had an additional advantage (to me), because I collect books about colours one can't see, about perception and vocabulary of colours, etc. The notion of a new, unseen, colour isn't new : Lovecraft used it in The Colour Out of Space, for example, but it appears also in traditional faerie tales (Donkey Skin comes to mind).

:) Glad you liked it

There's a Discworld reading order guide to help you figure out which book to read next :)

Obviously not a diagram designed with colour-blind people in mind :(

Anyway I'll have to buy a new shelf.
