I like my books, in fact I like them a lot. Whenever I have a job interview, I buy myself a book as a reward, no matter how well it goes. As my reward for the one I had on Monday I set out in search of Ian M Bank's Inversions, starting with a thorough search of the Oxfam secondhand bookshop where I didn't find it, or anything else I really felt like reading. I resigned myself to spending the full price, and not supporting a good cause, and went down to borders in town where I found the book. Walking back to college past the Oxfam bookshop, what do I see in the window except Inversions. Bugger. In future must ask shop assistants more questions.
