Wine and Cheese

I'm sure someone said something like this somewhere before, but I can't for the life of me work out who:

The only sure thing about fine wine is that drinking it will destroy your ability to appreciate cheap wine.

That said, I can't afford a fine wine habit, so I've settled for the more mundane (but still ruinous) activity of eating cheese. Good cheese makes bad cheese badder.

Fine Wine

Fine wine doesn't take money, it takes effort. I know a good number of wines that are under $10 that are simply wonderful. You have to search them out, and really take the time to understand what goes into good wine.

Charles Shaw. $2-$3 a bottle at your local Trader Joe's. I'm not a wine drinker, but Ingy swears by it, and does a lot of other goofy things, too. Also, Australian wines can be quite good at quite low prices. My friends have enjoyed Bin 555 and it boasts a higher security rating than Bin 777.
