I'm on an IRC channel with a fairly well defined way of stating that you dislike something (akin to the #perl $foo-- karma, but not entirely so). Analysis of thousands of lines of logs of these reveals that everyone is united in a massive web of seething hatred. (This is formed by creating an edge between two people if they both hate the same thing). I have a feeling that most of the edges are caused by people hating other people, but my belief in the better parts of human nature isn't ready for me to test that properly.
