I had two computers blow up on me a couple of months ago, and have only now got around to finding a cheap enough machine to act as my dumb terminal to the whole entire intarweb. I was seeing everything through the eyes of lynx, but over a broad band connection. It made me chuckle. Now I'm wowed by all these fantastic pictures, and noises. It's like being a child all over again, but without the odd looking man standing outside the school gates during lunchtimes.

Why use lynx when links is much better? And then there's always the most excellent w3m-img which turns w3m-in-an-xterm into a graphical browser. For crazy-but-somehow-useful code it puts london.pm to shame.
