Bonds

Just now I turned on the World Series, Game 1, to see the score. Noting it was 0-0 in the second, I almost turned back to the other show I was watching, until I saw Barry Bonds was at the plate. The count was 2-1. I decided to watch for the home run. It came on the next pitch.

Go Giants.

We'll see how he and others do next year with the steroid testing in effect. I'm not saying that Barry Bonds is on steroids (or HGH) - I hear he works out like a madman - but you never know.

Heathen!

It's the way it's gotta be. The Red Sox and Angels have never gotten along; the Sox boosted the Angels from the playoffs last time around, in 1986; the Angels knocked the Sox out of contention this year; the Angels are in the American League. I have trouble rooting for any other AL team, ever. Plus, I lived in the Bay Area (and around Orange County) for a bunch of years, and if I had to pick one NL team to prefer above all the rest, it would certainly be the Giants, while I learned to dislike the Angels. So, it's the way it's gotta be. :-)
