I don't think I've ever seen any hard numbers on how "big" slashdot is.
How many subscribers, how many static/dynamic hits per hours/day, how big do the tables get etc.
Also, what are your estimates for the size of the slashdot effect. Have you ever considered doing the links to other sites via an interstitial redirect page for a week to try and measure it?
