Good News

I have CNN turned on the TV downstairs and went to grab some food, and the first thing I hear as come into earshot is, "Good news ...". Hoping for some good news about the war, my brain tunes in. "If you're 45 to 80, Physician's Life Insurance Company guarantees you up to $10,000 of life insurance, designed to help your family with the expenses they will face."

Well, that's something.

Reminds me of Radio Report a Couple of Week Ago

I listen to the radio at work and a few days after the war started I heard a news report at the top of the hour that started like this: "SADDAM SURRENDERS!!!"...pause...pause....pause... "That is what Donald Rumsfeld says it will take to stop the war" (or something like that).

If the guy had paused any longer I would have announced to all my co-workers that it was over.

Very wierd.
