I went over to CPAN to look at some testing modules and it struck me as odd that there isn't a category on the front page for testing.
Even stranger, to me, is that there is a miscellaneous category... and none of the test modules are listed there either. I kinda figured this would be the "catch all" category for things that aren't in any of the other categories.
So... I started checking every category (gotta love broadband :-)) and found a treasure trove of goodies to spend a little time with.
In retrospect, I'm not sure why I didn't look there first... I guess that part of me figured that if the POD stuff got put into it's own category, then the testing stuff would be in it's own category... maybe one with a whole bunch of tutorials to boot.
There is a nice summary of available testing modules.

Oh, I did not find that earlier. Anyway I started a Bundle::Test some time ago and recently updated it. Comments and further additions are welcome.
