I write this from the luxury of my couch.
Monday: All testing, all day. I missed Cog's apparently-brilliant talk on obfuscation so that I could help shepherd along Phalanx as directed by Jim Keenan and Marc Prewitt. It pleases me that they take Phalanx so seriously.
Tuesday: Saw nothing. Worked and worked on slides for the talk that Bill Odom and I gave to IBM on Wednesday. Boat ride was very nice. Bought Fowler's Refactoring for $40.
Wednesday: Talk was a hit. "This is the most useful thing I've heard here yet!" That made me smile big.
Thursday: Drove back. Saw "War Of The Worlds", which was 90% great. Got a flat tire on I-94 somewhere in Detroit. I called the Enterprise roadside assistance number.
"Roadside assistance, are you in a safe location?"
[laughing] "You know, I really can't say that I am!"
Got back ok. Finished up the joy of a house refinancing and paying off credit cards. Bang! Take THAT, Chase Visa!
