I'm still looking for candidates for my two jobs ( and ), and I've been googling for resumes. Turns out that I'm the #1 hit on "resume" and "perl", overtaking our own David Hand, as he's moved down to the #4 spot.

I find it pretty funny to see that you're ranked one better than the "SEO expert". :-)
Resume or résumé?

Interestingly enough the resuts are very different whether you use accented characters or not. Google seems not to do case folding.
Oddly enough I would guess that this favors people who use the easier-to-type resume instead of the more correct résumé, as chances are that the recruiter would not even know how to type the later.

I was just wondering...
Wow...

I had no idea, but...
"searching for perl and resume" is not quite the same
thing as
"searching for resume and perl" :-)
And another wow...
cog on 2004-09-02T09:29:05
I don't even show up... oh, that's right! It has "perl", but no "resume" nor "résumé" written on it
:-) Gotta take care of that
:-)
