I just got a spam asking if I wanted a green card. Nice to see the spammers remembering their roots.

While that was a particularly awful example of spamming, spam dates back to when a DEC Marketing guy sent a notice out to everyone on the ARPAnet in the Western US about an open house to see some new DEC hardware. The 25th anniversary of SPAM was just this year!

I can't remember the last time I saw an announcement of a DEC Open House in email. ;-)
