MovableType is rather lovely isn't it?
I appear to have done the awful thing and got myself a new movable type weblog, at the truly atrocious URL of http://pc1.bofhadsl.ftech.co.uk:8080/. There's something about being in control that I like...

Yeah, well. The ISP doesn't allow port 80 through to ADSL, and I can understand that. I'll just have to avoid getting slashdotted.

You should check out Brad Choate's tutorial on using MT for your whole site. It looks very interesting and I'm thinking about doing it for my (pathetic excuse) for a website.:-)

I'm toying with setting something up via DAV that'll allow me to edit stuff in Textile, which is a remarkably pleasant way of marking up webpages... I *hate* writing HTML.Re:MT is Yummy

A bit different from what you are doing, I think, but I am using WebDav on the MT server so I easily can "mount" it on the mac and run emacs etc locally.
I used Apache+mod_perl 2.0 to plug-in the MT authentication modules to do the authentication for the DAV server as well.
