I like my iPod Shuffle. The sound quality is excellent, and the headphones give better bass than my others (admittedly I tend to buy cheap headphones. The Sony MDR-EX71SLW is recommended, apparently, by many iPod aficionados).
The shuffle's were incredibly good value: I think now most other flash-based MP3 players have come down in price to compete, which is a good thing. Still, I'm pleased, and I'm actually finding that one good thing about not having a display is that I actually listen to more music in the random selection. If I have a display I tend to skip through till I find something I've decided I want to listen to.
