Google Sites has been released. It allows you very easily to create web pages, and of course they come out looking pretty stylish.
For me, a web-luddite, this is great. I had some horrific gawdy old thing before, which was an embarrassment preserved for eternity via the Internet Web Archive. I just cut and pasted the content into my new Google Site - a few minutes' work and I have a new homepage :-)
The system is very much designed for collaborative work; I suppose it's a version of Google Page Creator with support for hierarchical structure and so on. You can edit in WYSIWYG or HTML mode, and easily import HTML from other pages. Perhaps this is a challenger to having a wiki for a Perl project?
In related news, I'm back to using Firefox for browsing under OS X (from OmniWeb, and Shiira). FF is plenty fast enough, and I just couldn't live without the awesome extension system - particularly del.icio.us, Firefox Showcase, It's All Text!, SwitchProxy, and Tab Mix Plus.
